# Affirmation of Commitments

Eine Vereinbarung von 2009 zwischen der ICANN und dem Handelsministerium der Vereinigten Staaten. Darin verpflichtete sich die ICANN, rechenschaftspflichtig zu bleiben und ihre Arbeit regelmäßig von der Community überprüfen zu lassen. Nach der Übergabe der Aufsicht über die IANA-Funktionen 2016 wurden diese Überprüfungen in die ICANN-Satzung übernommen. Die ICANN und die NTIA beendeten die Vereinbarung im Januar 2017 formell.
