# Beendigung des Registry Agreements

Das Ende des Vertrags zwischen der ICANN und dem Registry-Betreiber einer gTLD, auf Wunsch einer der beiden Seiten. Die ICANN entscheidet dann, ob sie die TLD an einen neuen Betreiber überträgt oder aus der Root-Zone entfernt. Viele ungenutzte Marken-TLDs haben auf diese Weise geendet.
