# BIMI

Brand Indicators for Message Identification

Eine E-Mail-Spezifikation, mit der ein Absender sein Logo über einen DNS-Record veröffentlichen kann, damit unterstützende Postfachanbieter es neben den Nachrichten anzeigen. Sie funktioniert nur für Domains, deren DMARC-Policy Empfänger anweist, nicht bestandene Mails in Quarantäne zu verschieben oder abzulehnen. Manche Postfachanbieter verlangen zusätzlich ein Zertifikat, das die Rechte am Logo belegt.
