# Bitsquatting

Die Registrierung einer Domain, die sich von einer bekannten Domain nur durch ein einzelnes gekipptes Bit unterscheidet, die kleinste Einheit von Computerdaten. Seltene Speicherfehler in Geräten können ein Zeichen eines Namens verändern und Datenverkehr an die falsche Domain schicken. Der Forscher Artem Dinaburg beschrieb das Phänomen 2011.
