Eine generische Top-Level-Domain, die über das New-gTLD-Programm der ICANN entstanden ist, beginnend mit der Runde 2012. Beispiele sind .shop, .app und .berlin. Der Name grenzt sie von älteren Endungen wie .com oder .org ab, die die Branche Legacy-TLDs nennt.
