# Special-Use-Domainnamen

Für technische Zwecke reservierte Namen, die nicht wie normale Domains im öffentlichen DNS registriert oder abgefragt werden. Beispiele sind .local für Geräte, die sich in einem lokalen Netzwerk gegenseitig finden, home.arpa für Heimnetzwerke, .onion für das Tor-Netzwerk, .alt für Namenssysteme außerhalb des DNS und .test. Die ICANN hat .internal durch eine gesonderte Entscheidung für private Netzwerke reserviert.
