# SRV-Record

Service

Ein DNS-Record, der Clients mitteilt, welchen Server und welchen Port sie für einen bestimmten Dienst einer Domain verwenden sollen, etwa für Internettelefonie oder Chat. Er enthält außerdem Werte für Priorität und Gewichtung, damit der Verkehr auf mehrere Server verteilt werden oder bei einem Ausfall auf einen anderen Server ausweichen kann.
