# Übernahme eines Registrar-Kontos

Ein Angreifer verschafft sich Zugang zum Konto eines Kunden bei einem Registrar, mit gestohlenen oder erratenen Passwörtern, durch Phishing oder indem er Supportmitarbeiter täuscht (Social Engineering). Von dort kann er Nameserver ändern, E-Mails umleiten oder Domains wegtransferieren. Starke Passwörter, Zwei-Faktor-Authentifizierung und ein Registry Lock verringern das Risiko.
