# Vorstandsbeschluss

Eine formelle Entscheidung des ICANN-Vorstands, die per Abstimmung gefasst und mit ihrer Begründung veröffentlicht wird. Beschlüsse genehmigen Richtlinien, Verträge, Haushalte und neue Programme. Eine Policy-Empfehlung der Community wird erst wirksam, wenn der Vorstand sie in einem Beschluss annimmt, wodurch sie für Registrys und Registrare verbindlich werden kann.
