Attaque dans laquelle des criminels qui ont pénétré dans le compte du propriétaire d'un domaine chez son bureau d'enregistrement ou son fournisseur DNS ajoutent discrètement leurs propres sous-domaines. Le site principal continue de fonctionner, si bien que le propriétaire ne remarque rien, tandis que les nouveaux sous-domaines profitent de la bonne réputation du domaine pour héberger de l'hameçonnage ou des logiciels malveillants.
