# Registration Data Accuracy Scoping Team

A GNSO group formed in 2021 to study, before any policy work, how gTLD registration data accuracy is defined, measured and enforced. It proposed a registrar survey and an audit, then paused. In September 2024 the GNSO Council deferred those proposals for six more months. A small Council team took over and presented recommendations in July 2025, which the Council approved, ending the Scoping Team's work.
