# ARIN

American Registry for Internet Numbers

The regional Internet registry (RIR) for North America: the nonprofit body that hands out IP addresses and network numbers there. It deals with numbers, not domain names. It holds a Public Policy and Members Meeting twice a year, in April and October, which can also be followed remotely.
