# DISPUTE entry

A marker that the registry DENIC puts on a .de domain for someone who shows a possible right to it. The holder then cannot transfer it while the conflict is settled, usually in court. If the holder deletes it, the domain passes straight to that person. The entry is free, lasts one year and can be extended.
