# DMARC

Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance

An email standard in which a domain owner uses DNS to tell receivers how to treat messages that fail authentication, meaning neither SPF nor DKIM passes for the domain. The options are none (monitor only), quarantine or reject. It also asks receivers to send reports. It helps stop others from sending email that fakes the domain.
