# ERRP

Expired Registration Recovery Policy

An ICANN consensus policy that helps gTLD owners avoid losing domains by accident. Registrars must send reminder notices before and after expiry and interrupt the domain's normal service for a time before deletion. Registries must offer a redemption grace period, except in sponsored TLDs.
