# GNSO

Generic Names Supporting Organization

The part of ICANN that develops policy for generic top-level domains (gTLDs). It brings together registries, registrars, businesses, intellectual property owners, internet providers and non-commercial groups. Its Council manages policy work and sends recommendations to the ICANN Board.
