# IDNA2008

Internationalized Domain Names for Applications, 2008 revision

The current technical standard for internationalized domain names. It defines which Unicode characters may appear in a domain name and how names are converted to and from their ASCII form. It replaced the 2003 version, and a few characters are handled differently between the two.
