# INFERMAL

Inferential Analysis of Maliciously Registered Domains

A research project funded by ICANN and led by Maciej Korczyński that studied what draws criminals to certain registrars and TLDs. Its 2024 report compared prices, discounts, payment methods, registration tools and checks on customers, and linked several of them to higher numbers of malicious registrations.
