# LACNIC

Latin America and Caribbean Network Information Centre

The regional Internet registry (RIR) for Latin America and the Caribbean: the nonprofit body that hands out IP addresses and network numbers there. It deals with numbers, not domain names. It holds two meetings a year, in May and in October; the October meeting is co-located with LACNOG, the regional network operators' group.
