# net adds

The change in the number of domains over a period: new registrations and transfers in, minus deleted names and transfers out. A positive figure means growth. Registries report it by quarter or month. In ICANN's monthly registry reports, 'net adds' means new registrations not deleted within the add grace period, which is not the same as growth.
