# objection (new gTLD)

A formal complaint against a new gTLD application, decided by an independent panel. The 2026 round has four grounds: String Confusion, Legal Rights, Limited Public Interest and Community. WIPO and the International Chamber of Commerce handle the cases, and the losing side can appeal.
