# QLP

Qualified Launch Program

An ICANN-approved way for a new gTLD registry to hand out up to 100 names before or during sunrise, in order to promote the TLD. A name that matches a trademark recorded in the Trademark Clearinghouse can only go to that trademark holder or to a public authority.
