# RIPE NCC

RIPE Network Coordination Centre

The regional Internet registry (RIR) for Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia: the nonprofit body that hands out IP addresses and network numbers there. It deals with numbers, not domain names. Based in the Netherlands, it organizes the RIPE Meetings twice a year and regional meetings, and runs the secretariat of MENOG.
