# RIPE

Réseaux IP Européens

An open community of people who run Internet networks in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, or take an interest in how the Internet works there. It is not the same as the RIPE NCC, the regional Internet registry that supports it and organizes its meetings. RIPE Meetings take place twice a year, in May and in October or November, and are numbered in sequence, such as RIPE 93.
