# TEAC

Transfer Emergency Action Contact

A contact point that every gTLD registrar must keep for urgent transfer problems, such as a suspected hijacking. Other registrars, registries and ICANN can use it. A person, not an automatic reply, must answer within four hours. Changes adopted in 2026, not yet in force, allow 24 hours instead. If nobody answers, the transfer can be reversed.
