# Universal Acceptance

The goal that every valid domain name and email address works in all software. Many apps and forms still reject long or new endings and addresses in non-Latin scripts. ICANN and the technical community promote fixes and hold an annual series of awareness events. ICANN stopped funding and staffing the Universal Acceptance Steering Group after June 2025.
