# WHOIS Accuracy Program Specification

A part of the 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement on how gTLD registrars check registrant contact details. They must check fields for a valid format and verify the email address or phone number. Knowingly false data, or no reply to these checks, can cost the registrant the domain. It has been renamed the RDDS Accuracy Program Specification.
