# WHOIS ARS

WHOIS Accuracy Reporting System

An ICANN project that tested samples of gTLD WHOIS records to see whether contact details were well formed and working. It published reports from 2015 until 2018, when ICANN paused it because privacy rules had hidden most of the data. It has not restarted.
