# gestore del registro

L'organizzazione titolare del contratto o del mandato per gestire un TLD, che ne fissa le regole, per esempio chi può registrare e a quale prezzo all'ingrosso. Per un gTLD si tratta di un Registry Agreement con l'ICANN, per un ccTLD di un quadro locale. Può affidare a un fornitore back-end la gestione del sistema tecnico del registro.
