# Clipster buys Clipster.com for $100,000 after 13 months of talks

Clipster, a performance-based creator marketing platform, has moved its web address from Clipster.gg to Clipster.com after a acquisition process that lasted 13 months. The company’s founder and CEO, Turan Selvi, announced the change on X and said Clipster paid $100,000 for the matching .com domain.

The talks were difficult because the domain was not held by a typical domain investor. It belonged to Regis Corporation, a hair salon company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which runs salon brands including Supercuts, SmartStyle, Cost Cutters, MasterCuts and Holiday Hair. Regis also holds a set of matching trademarks for haircut, styling and beauty services, according to USPTO records. The domain was one of the company’s digital assets, so the deal was a corporate negotiation rather than a standard aftermarket purchase.

Clipster was founded in 2025. It connects brands with content creators through campaigns in which creators publish short-form content and are paid based on verified views, while brands pay for measurable results. Selvi said the .com address gives the growing platform a matching identity in place of the .gg extension that helped launch the brand.
