# .Com wholesale prices rise 7% on November 1

Verisign will raise the wholesale price of .com domains by 7% to $10.97 plus ICANN’s 20-cent fee starting November 1. Registrars charging near-cost prices, including Cloudflare, NameBright, Porkbun, Unstoppable Domains, Spaceship and GoDaddy’s Domain Discount Club Pro, are expected to pass on the increase. Registrants can renew or transfer domains for up to 10 years before the deadline to lock in current pricing, and many registrars currently offer transfer specials below the upcoming renewal fee.

## in plain words

The company that runs the .com TLD, Verisign, is raising its prices by 7% starting November 1. That means many cheap domain sellers, like Cloudflare and NameBright, will also charge more. People can save money by renewing or transferring their .com domain now, even for up to 10 years, before the price goes up.
