# ICANN sets 2027 meeting locations: Lisbon, Vancouver and Adelaide

## in plain words

ICANN, the organization that runs the internet's address system, revealed where it will hold its three big meetings in 2027. They will take place in Lisbon, Vancouver, and Adelaide. Anyone can join these meetings, in person or online, for free.

ICANN announced on September 24 the locations for its three public meetings in 2027. ICANN 88 opens the year in Lisbon from March 13 to 18, hosted by DNS.PT, the .pt registry; ICANN last met there in 2007, and the city is the most accessible location of the year for German-speaking attendees. The ICANN 89 Policy Forum follows in Vancouver from June 14 to 17, the first time there since 2005. The year closes with the ICANN 90 Annual General Meeting in Adelaide from October 30 to November 4, hosted by .au registry auDA. Adelaide becomes the third Australian city to host an ICANN meeting after Melbourne in 2001 and Sydney in 2009, marking the second consecutive annual meeting in the Asia-Pacific region. This year's ICANN meeting takes place in Bali from October 17 to 22, after Muscat was originally planned. Attendance at all ICANN meetings remains free, both in person and online.
