# Three UAE applicants hold eight active bids in ICANN's 2026 new gTLD round

Three applicants based in the United Arab Emirates have eight active applications in ICANN's 2026 New gTLD Program. Vant Nexus Technologies LLC seeks .island, .portal and .truck, and it also filed replacement strings that were later deactivated. Mux Registry L.L.C-FZ applied for .cli, .list and .ops, while Telegram FZ-LLC seeks .gram and .telegram. The applications appear in Pre-Evaluation Processing, and UAE applicants filed 37 of the 1,930 applications in the 2012 round.
