Investors from India and US drive surge in .si domain registrations

Slovenia's .si registry logged 19,541 new domain registrations in one day on October 9, 2026, roughly five times its pre-rush pace. Hostinger data shows Indian buyers (3,174) narrowly outpaced US buyers (3,135) in registrations, with Morocco a distant third.

NameJet sold 36 domains for $172,097 in September 2026, led by gameone.com at $21,000, while SnapNames sold 57 domains for $248,832, topped by miju.com at $31,056.

Survey finds payment plans could push founders toward premium domains

AtomRadar's 2026 survey of 500 US founders found 69% would have considered a more premium domain if installment payment plans had been available, and 78% said such plans make stronger domains easier to acquire.

Shopify buys Shop.com domain from Market America

Market America has sold the Shop.com domain name to e-commerce platform Shopify, the company announced in a press release. The sale price was not disclosed. Market America bought the domain in 2011; it had previously sold in 2003 for 3.5 million dollars. The sale coincides with Market America relaunching its online business under MarketAmerica.com, a new Shopify-built site, as the company consolidates its brands and shopping technology under its original name.
