# CORE Association撤回.src域名申请

## 通俗解读

CORE Association原本想运营.src，这是一个供开源软件项目使用的网络后缀。现在它已撤回这一申请。它表示，新域名申请轮次的规则不允许申请人之间互相沟通，另有一个团体也提交了类似方案。

CORE Association已撤回其对.src的申请。.src是一个新通用顶级域，CORE曾在2026年新gTLD申请轮次中为开源社区申请该域。CORE于10月13日（星期二）主动撤回申请，ICANN于次日，即10月14日（星期三）接受了撤回。

CORE表示，其申请的原因是，开源项目的域名对安全性、用户信任及融资能力都至关重要，因此该后缀的运营应考虑这些需求。CORE表示乐见Stichting NLnet得出相同结论，并以自由及开源软件（FOSS）社区为目标，提交了.src的社群申请。

CORE表示，它事先并不知道NLnet的项目，且仅在Reveal Day前不久才宣布了自己的申请。CORE称，2026年轮次的条款禁止竞争申请人之间沟通，这是其撤回申请、而非联系NLnet的原因。CORE表示，仍将致力于开源软件。
