Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure
The secure version of the protocol, or set of rules, that web browsers use to load pages and send data to websites. The connection is encrypted with TLS Transport Layer Security The standard that encrypts connections between a browser or app and a server. Full definition of TLS, so others on the network cannot read or change it. Web addresses that use it start with https, and many browsers show a padlock.
